Prayer Request ... Update on my life

Posted as a Note on my Facebook July 26, 2010

Where do I begin to provide an update on my life when it seems everyday the Lord has provided new opportunities and new blessings? I should have kept a diary because there have been so many!!

I am truly excited about His most recent blessing - On Wednesday July 28th I have an appointment to meet with the folks that are overseeing a brand spanking new apartment complex.

This may not seem significant to you but to me it's HUGE for several reasons:

1) I submitted my application on June 28th (less than a month ago) to the Housing Registry. I was told by them (and many people that have applied) it takes a long time (in some cases YEARS) to get an appointment let alone actually move into a low income housing apartment. Being disabled I provided additional paperwork from my doctor on June 30th.
I prayed.

2) When an application is processed by the Housing Registry copies of the application are forwarded to all rental properties you have indicated on the form you are interested in. Last week when I phoned to inquire as to the status of my application I was told they were really behind and my application had not yet been processed - in other words my application still had not been forwarded to the rental property.
I prayed.

3) I listed only one rental property as a preference. It's a brand new apartment building. With there being a high demand for low income housing and with only 15 units "up for grabs" for people with disabilities (AND seniors) I felt a real urgency for my application to be included with other applications that had listed that property as a preference to have any kind of a chance. At that point the Housing Registry had not released any applications to the rental property (which apparently is done electronically).
I prayed.

Last Wed (July 21st) I received the phone call from the rental property folks with my appointment date and time! Praise God for answered prayer!! Hallelujah !! Isn't God amazing?! <3

When human logic indicates no options are available ...
... He opens all doors that were assumed locked.

While I believe He hears all prayers immediately ...
... He responds in His time and His timing is always perfect!

Now for my prayer request:

I truly believe the Lord has His hand in all what has transpired to date regarding this matter.

I believe He wants me to live in this building.

What I'd appreciate prayer for is help I will need after being accepted to move to this building.

It's difficult for me to clean my apartment so being realistic I think packing up my apartment is going to prove challenging for me. Welfare will help towards the cost of movers but will not help financially towards someone to pack for me.

I pray for the Lord to continue to open doors and provide the impossible. AMEN!

With regards to welfare helping towards the cost of a mover - well that's where I need prayer as well. If I were moving somewhere within the lower mainland in all likelihood the expense would be within the legislative guidelines. However since the apartment is located outside the lower mainland I was told by welfare if the amount was over the guideline amount I would have to deal with that myself.

I pray for a financial miracle Lord in whatever way necessary for what seems impossible to become possible. AMEN!

I need this apartment so my rent would be reduced but I can't afford the move.
I feel like I'm caught between a rock and a hard spot!

The Lord has not failed me yet and I don't believe He's about to!!

With having a total monthly income of less than $950 a month this would be a HUGE blessing in so many ways. This move will help greatly improve my financial situation, my mental, physical and spiritual well being. My rent would be around $300 a month for a one bedroom apartment compared to the $750 I am paying now.

There is one thing I haven't mentioned yet;
I was kind of saving it for last.

Two of my three grown children live in the city where the apartment I want to move to is located. With my mother passing away almost 4 years ago and my husband passing almost 3 years ago my children and their children (my grandchildren) are my only living relatives - I'm lonely and long to live closer to them.

I pray. AMEN!!
Please pray too (((hugs)))

Below is how the Lord sees the city here the apartment is.
Isn't it beautiful?
